Maintenance-driven demand planning

For many spares, demand is scheduled, not forecast. A rebuild every 18 months that uses four bearings is a plan, not a statistical pattern.

Planned demand

Demand is derived from maintenance plans, and changes to a plan cascade to the components it uses. Time-phased material requirements show when each part is needed.

Failure demand

For unplanned failures, installed base, equipment population and failure behaviour say more than consumption history alone.
